Hello Rebels!
If you’ve read the intro, than you know my name is Ale. I’m 29 and I started this blog to help not only myself, but other people who have been letting negative thoughts rule their lives and keep them from achieving their personal goals. If you want to know some quirky, random facts about me, switch to this page. If you want to learn more about this site, carry on my wayward son.
Everybody out there has a personal struggle. And more often than not, there’s someone out there with the same personal struggle as you. So let’s help each other overcome them, one step at a time. How? Glad you asked.
Something that’s personally helped me look at my world differently is meditation and affirmations. Being in tune and at one with your body, understanding your chakras, and knowing how to control your feelings and thoughts will go a long way towards healing.
Another highlight of my journey has been embracing natural health and beauty through essential oil therapy. We all know it’s important to be conscious of what your putting in your body (you know, food). But it’s also important to be conscious of what your putting ON your body. The skin is your largest organ, and everything you put on it gets absorbed back into your body. You wouldn’t willingly eat something that is 95% chemicals, would you? Learning how to treat your skin (and senses) the same way will make all the difference on your path to healing.
I’m also passionate about bullet journaling. For me, writing things down, making lists… it’s essential if I want to remember to get shit done. The great thing about bullet journaling is it can be anything you want it to be. If you don’t like writing out your feelings, that’s cool. I use mine to track my self care, habits, to do’s, and other things too. Organizing your life will help you organize your thoughts, and organized thoughts lead to – you guessed it – more positivity!
Lastly, exercise *shudders*. Never fear! This does not only mean physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. I !@#$ing hate going to the gym – mostly because I really don’t want to run into 50 people I know, which inevitably always happens. Like, I’m here to do strength training, not hear about how wonderful your husband, two babies and six dogs are, perfect-figured Linda. BYE. But we have to work our bodies and minds, so let’s do it in a way we can ALL appreciate, while steering clear of the Lindas of the world.
If you’re here, you’re ready to rebel against negative thinking. The key difference between you and everybody else? You’re doing it with the knowledge and support of others as well. My goal is to make this a community for people struggling, and offer a refuge to those who feel they can’t talk to anyone else. I’ve been there; it’s frightening to feel THAT alone. But I promise you: that will not happen here.
We’re all in this together, folks. Let’s love ourselves first, and love each other too, okay?
